The super new moon on April 27 will push you out of your comfort zone
After the turbulent solar eclipse month of March, Taurus season’s new moon comes just in time, says Jetteke van Lexmond. The co-founder of the Moonsisters and their well-known lunar calendar further reveals, “For many, the calm, earthy energy of Taurus feels like a sigh of relief. Taurus invites you to make a stronger connection with your own body and the Earth.” The coming weeks are therefore ideal for focusing more on your health. “Exercise more, eat healthier and detox. Taurus also helps you to slow down, reflect on the mundane and enjoy all the beauty of Mother Earth and life,” says the moon expert, adding, “Taurus are true connoisseurs and love romance, beauty and art. Let this energy flow now.”
The first super new moon of 2025 is due in April
The new moon in Taurus on April 27 is also 2025’s first super new moon. The Moonsisters explain, “With this new moon, the shadow periods of Mercury and Venus retrogrades end. In addition, the energy of the eclipses recedes into the background.” This could bring more peace of mind as well as the feeling that you are finally becoming more settled.
This new moon in Taurus is something special, van Lexmond reveals. “In addition to it being the first super new moon of the year, which is also the closest to Earth of all the new moons this year, no important planets are in retrograde, so the energy flow of renewal can be full.” Although every new moon is a new beginning, this super new moon really heralds a new phase, which will be more noticeable from mid-May. “But you can already experience more clarity now because you are moving with the energy.”
Van Lexmond continues, “Now that Venus—the ruling planet of Taurus—is moving direct again, you can come to new conclusions about partnerships and your finances. It’s a good time to review your spending and relationship with material possessions and self-worth. To what extent do you link your self-worth to your possessions and the money you earn? How do you see others? Do you put other people above yourself because they have more material possessions or a higher status?”
Be prepared for tension and unpredictability
The new moon in Taurus meets the square between fiery Mars and changeable Pluto, which could create tensions and unpredictable changes. “You may feel more inclined to step out of your comfort zone,” say the Moonsisters. “Taurus won’t necessarily like this, as it likes to stick to its current form—especially if it’s linked to financial security—and prefers to avoid change.”

Zendaya’s best Met Gala red carpet looks over the years
As a six-time Met Gala attendee, Zendaya is no stranger to hitting the event’s famous red carpet. But one could say the fashion stakes are a little higher for the star at the annual star-studded affair. Last year, on Met-Monday, Zendaya was joined by fellow co-chairs Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth, Jennifer Lopez, and Vogue‘s Anna Wintour to welcome guests to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The gala celebrated and raised funds for the museum’s Costume Institute, which showcased its spring exhibition, titled “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.”
If anyone is up for the challenge of delivering a memorable fashion look on the Met steps, it’s Zendaya. Since attending her very first Met back in 2015, the Euphoria and Dune star has consistently served up ensembles that are as head-turning as they are on theme. One standout example? In 2018, the actor wore an armoured Versace look as a nod to Joan of Arc. It was a smart choice for the “Heavenly Bodies’ theme, which explored the intersection of Catholicism and fashion. Zendaya also nailed thematic dressing for the 2019 “Camp: Notes on Fashion” gala, when she showed up in a Cinderella-like Tommy Hilfiger gown, complete with stylist Law Roach as her fairy godmother—wand and all.
Last year, she embraced the “Garden of Time” dress code in a blue, black, and green Margiela creation that evoked a mystical forest. Her gown featured faux grapes, a bird perched atop her head, a long feather in her hair, and a veil for added drama—all brought together with striking, theatrical makeup. And she didn’t stop there. Zendaya made a second appearance that evening in vintage Givenchy haute couture: an off-the-shoulder black gown with a structured bodice and a voluminous skirt that flowed into an extravagant train, paired with an elaborate Alexander McQueen floral headpiece. If there’s one thing Zendaya will always do on the Met carpet, it’s put on a show.
As for what the star will wear to this year’s Met Gala, that’s obviously a secret. But considering the theme is “Tailored for You” and that Zendaya is a not-so-secret lover of vintage and structured silhouettes, we’re already predicting a knockout archival moment.
