For the theme ‘Camp: Notes on Fashion’, Ambani went with a pale violet Prabal Gurung tulle gown with a plunging neckline, ruffled shoulder detail, and hand-embroidery threaded with crystals and feathers. The princess-esque ball gown took 350 hours to create. Dramatic eyes, nude lips, loose flowing curls, and diamond jewellery, including rings the size of eyeballs and a dramatic drop pendant, tied the look together.

In keeping with the Lagerfeld-inspired theme two years ago, Ambani dived deep into flamboyance in a custom concept sari by Prabal Gurung—a black one-shoulder ensemble with an unmissable silk chiffon train, all hand-embellished with crystal and pearl detailing along the border. She completed the look with Lorraine Schwartz diamond jewellery, including a choker, a tiered necklace, drop earrings and a haathphool-inspired bracelet. A doll bag from Chanel’s Mumbai-Paris 2012 collection added extra whimsy.
